维护国际形象顾问协会(AICI)严格的认证制度是我们工作的重中之重：国际形象顾问协会(AICI)承诺通过持续认证评估制度来保证我们在形象咨询行业的高水准。这一评估制度能够确保会员陆续通过三级认证的方式，得到最好最专业的发展。这三级认证分别是：一级认证(FLC)、认证形象专家(CIP)和认证形象大师(CIM)。
为了达到这一目标，AICI国际委员会集合了来自不同等级认证的成员，成立了“认证工作委员会”。 目前认证工作委员会已经完成了对各级认证的审查，并向国际委员会提出了改进建议。经国际委员会批准我们对三级认证的个别地方做了调整。
已经通过FLC考试的成员，将不在其名字后面继续使用“AICI”的名称，取而代之的是“AICI FLC”。我们将会在2008年的7月1日之前，将AICI网站上的会员名录全部改成新的形式。
CIP和CIM的名称也略微发生了变化：分别改为“AICI CIP”和 “AICI CIM”，去掉了“逗号”。这样变化也会在2008年的7月1日之前体现在AICI的网站上。
FLC的认证程序也发生了一些变化：除了参加考试之外，申请者还要求提交一份证明，能够证明其具备形象咨询行业的专业素质；同时要求申请者至少成为专业形象协会组织会员一年以上。
已经获得FLC认证的会员，在其认证资格期满三年，再次延期时，也必须遵守这些新规定。但2005年通过FLC认证会员的调整期限延长一年，从2009年7月1日起开始遵守这些新规定。
AICI’s strong certification program continues to be our top priority: a commitment to maintain the best professional standards in the image industry through ongoing evaluation. This process ensures that members are receiving the highest caliber of professional development as they navigate through the certification levels: First Level Certification (FLC), Certified Image Professional (CIP) and the ultimate Certified Image Master (CIM).
With this goal in mind, the International Board assembled a Certification Task Board, which included members from each of the certification levels. They have now completed the review of each certification, presented their recommendations to the International Board and received approval to make alterations in the individual categories:

Instead of just “AICI” designation, members who have achieved FLC status will now use “AICI FLC” after their name. This change will be reflected on our website Membership Directory by July 1, 2008.
Designations for CIP and CIM have changed slightly: It will now be “AICI CIP” and “AICI CIM” (no commas). This change will also be reflected on our website Membership Directory by July 1, 2008.
The FLC certification process has changed: In addition to the exam, applicants are required to submit a presentation binder that demonstrates their professional development in the image industry, and need to have been a member of a professional image organization for at least one year.
Upon successfully completing the FLC exam, the applicant has the option of submitting the new FLC Application, or applying directly for the CIP application, which is dependent upon one’s experience and achievement level.
Those who have already attained FLC certification will need to comply with the new requirements at the time of their next certification renewal. Those who achieved FLC in 2005, however, have received an extension of one year, to July 1, 2009.
